Privacy Policy
CacheCAD is an interface for Google Drive, it does not store your files or data. Files stored in Google Drive are subject to Google Drive terms of service and privacy policy. CacheCAD's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data that is accessed when you use CacheCAD:
The following data is accessed by the CacheCAD application on your device.
When you create or load a project in CacheCAD, it checks metadata on files in the drive of that project to confirm whether or not they belong to the project and to see if they match your local files.
When you upload or download changes in CacheCAD, it will upload, download, or delete (move to trash) files that you specify on your local device and on Google Drive. These files are not stored or transmitted elsewhere by CacheCAD. Files downloaded with CacheCAD remain on your local device. Files uploaded through CacheCAD are stored in your Google Drive or that of your organization.
Data we collect when you use CacheCAD:
The following data is collected by the CacheCAD development team.
When you upload or download changes in CacheCAD we will collect usage data that contains the domain of your email address, an anonymized hash of your email address, and the number of files uploaded or downloaded, and whether those file transfers were successful or not, and the total size of all files transferred. It does not contain any info about these files.
Why we collect it:
This info is collected for the purpose of understanding how frequently CacheCAD is being used. We may use it to market CacheCAD in the future.
Data we may request from you:
In cases where a user reports a bug, the user may be asked to provide a log file (via email). You are not obligated to provide this, but it will help with debugging your specific issue. This file contains the names and folder paths of your files as well as the Drive Ids of your files on Google Drive. This information will only be used to debug your specific issue and then promptly deleted either upon issue resolution or upon your request.
